I just finished reading Jakob Nielsen's Senior Usability Study last week. For a while there I was afraid that by the time I read it, I would be a senior citizen myself!

Given that, I think one potential approach to creating excellent customer experiences is to give people a very clear idea of how long interactions/processes will take. This will increase their patience and reduce their amount of stress.
